At 34 Strong, we believe …
Do you believe?
Rooted in all we do at 34 Strong is a simple African proverb that we have built our organization on and bring forth within organizations we serve:
If you want to go fast…go by yourself. If you want to go far, go together.
34 Strong launched in late 2013 and has lead workshops and delivered talks on Strengths-based Interdependence for organizations including but not limited to: The Food and Drug Administration, State Street, Bank of America, Genentech, Plum Organics, The State of California, The City of Modesto, Vistage, Leadership Turlock, Sacramento State University, DeVry University, and Drexel University.
Strengths-based Interdependence starts with Talent Identification through Gallup’s Strengthsfinder assessment.
StrengthsFinder is a tool that identifies naturally recurring talent in people. It opens the door for individuals to become the greatest version of themselves by focusing on developing these talents into strengths and ultimately manage around weakness. Over 11 million people have taken the assessment and many are thoroughly floored with the results…only to then ask the question so what, now what? 34Strong is the answer to that question.
With over 10 years of experience working in organizations with Strengthsfinder, 34 Strong CEO Brandon Miller, was part of the inaugural class of Gallup Certified coaches. In going through Certification, Miller realized that Strengths was too great to just do on his own. He realized how much further this could be taken by going together. He shared his thoughts with Co-Founder and COO Darren Virassammy, also a firm believer in going far together. From Miller’s vision of building a Strengths-based Interdependent Organization focused on building Strengths-based Interdependent organizations, 34 Strong was born.
What’s in a Name
So.. why 34 Strong? The name 34Strong comes directly from the StrengthsFinder 2.0 assessment. Through the assessment, Gallup has identified 34 talent themes that occur as strengths in some way to varying degrees within all of us. We all have unique combinations of these 34 talent themes that serve as our dominant, supporting and lesser strengths. Our name, 34Strong, recognizes and celebrates the fact that each of these 34 talents are all strengths… despite where they may fall on our individual spectrum.
